We are hiring an Assistant Program Manager to support our customer's Communications Office in advancing the communications, website strategy, social media presence, and advertising initiatives.

This role serves as a key coordinator and strategist, helping ensure consistent messaging, engaging content, and an accessible user experience across all communication channels. The position works collaboratively with program leaders, school representatives, and communication liaisons to strengthen public awareness, stakeholder engagement, and program promotion.

This is a full-time position, on site in Garden City. The work hours are from 8:30a -4:00p Monday- Friday. The benefits offered includes: Medical, Dental and Vision Inusurance, 401k with company match and Paid time off. 


Responsibilities

  • Support the organization's website strategy by coordinating with website liaisons and identifying opportunities to improve content, accessibility, user experience, and consistency across web pages.
  • Provide planning support and facilitate cross-department collaboration to advance organization website initiatives in partnership with the webmaster.
  • Develop and implement social media strategies, including content planning, posting, monitoring, and coordination with social media liaisons.
  • Create and manage content that promotes programs, services, and initiatives while ensuring consistent messaging and branding.
  • Coordinate advertising campaigns, including content development, project timelines, digital placements, and supporting communication materials.
  • Create and distribute electronic promotional emails, including communications for professional development offerings and agency programs.
  • Support efforts to increase program enrollment, public awareness, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Provide support for events, special projects, and emergency communications as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience in communications, marketing, public relations, website management, social media, or a related field.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience developing and managing website and social media content.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of digital communications, content management systems, email marketing platforms, and social media best practices.
  • Experience with digital advertising campaigns and analytics preferred.
  • Knowledge of website accessibility standards and user experience principles preferred.
  • Experience in an educational, governmental, or public-sector environment preferred.
